April A-Z Challenge: Reflections

This year's April A-Z Challenge was my first, but it was also super fun. I think my biggest challenge was brainstorming ideas for each letter and choosing from amongst those ideas. From ABBA to zombies, it was quite a ride. I'm definitely going to participate again next year.

Speaking of next year, the awesome people running the A-Z challenge have invited us to leave our suggestions for the next challenge in our reflections post. I think the challenge is great as it is, but if you guys wanted to make it even better, I think you should add a forum for bloggers to discuss the challenge. I also think that the blog genre category should be mandatory next year to make blogs easier to find and sort through. Other than that, I think the challenge is perfect. You guys are super chill.

  1. Congrats on finishing your first challenge and thanks for the suggestions. The only problem with making the categories mandatory is that some people don't use a theme so their posts may be too varied to fit into a single descriptor. Glad you enjoyed it and hope you'll be back next year.

  2. Hello there.
Well done for completing the challenge! This was my second year taking part. There were a lot of blogs that didn't use the code as instructed and I did reluctantly come across a few AC (adult content) ones that were quite the shocker. As such, I did not comment on those ones and just made a quick exit.
    Thanks for reflecting.

    1. Thank you! I'm looking forward to my next year. It was great to challenge myself and meet other bloggers in the meantime. I know what you're talking about with the AC blogs. Tagging those should be non-negotiable, especially since they can have triggering content or pose problems for younger bloggers and bloggers trying to avoid adult content.

Congratulations on completing the challenge for your second year.
